The band has nearly finished the final section of I, Awake. We played through this part several times at rehearsal and threw out a lot of good ideas. As usual, it’ll take a little time to fine tune everything and work out the timing, but it shouldn’t be much longer before this one’s ready to record.

We also began working on Social Engineering. Although it’s already been recorded, Steve hadn’t yet joined the band, and since we’ve been focusing primarily on recording/writing/arranging the last few songs, we haven’t really had time to rehearse it with him. That also went very well, especially considering the complexity of the song. We were able to get through about half of it without too much trouble, and plan to continue working through it in the coming weeks.
