Last night’s rehearsal saw the band working way into I, Awake, the last song on the upcoming album. A fair amount of time was spent correcting minor timing issues in the intro (as usual…), but after that the band pushed farther into the song, making it to about the nine minute mark. Although none of last night’s ideas are final, Jim in particular whipped up a couple of really nice bass runs that’ll no doubt make their way to the final cut.

After spending months working through and fine tuning the intro to this song, the huge progress seen last night was a welcome change, and the band is looking forward to moving even farther at next rehearsal.
