More done on I, Awake, metal cover band?
It was another productive rehearsal on Monday night, with the band making even more headway into I, Awake. The latest section was more or less finalized, which leaves only the outro to finish. Kevin and Jim also brushed up on the harmony vocals for Next Time Around and Crippled by Fear, which will likely get recorded in the next week or so (we really mean it this time).
While Steve was experimenting with some different organ sounds, one in particular struck Chris as familiar. This prompted a haphazard rendition of In-a-godda-da-vida. Not to be left out of the fun, Jim made the suggestion that there was a glut of classic rock cover bands, and perhaps we could make a little extra money on weekends as a metal cover band. The gloves were off, with Chris launching into a War Pigs/Sweet Leaf/Symptom of the Universe/Hole in the Sky/Megalomania jam. The band wrapped up the evening by working on the verse sections of I, Awake.
